Pull up a chair. You're one of us now. A weekly couple podcast covering real life — from Couch to 5K to countryside walks, honest TV reviews, family chaos, and food that makes us happy.
Listen & Follow Everywhere
Almost the Weekend is an honest, warm, and often hilarious look at real couple life. Every week, Mr & Mrs Almost sit down to talk about what they're doing, watching, eating, and surviving — with their dog Honey reliably failing to contribute anything useful.
No scripts. No pretending. Just two people who've figured out that the almost moments are usually the best ones.

This week on Almost the Weekend, Mr & Mrs Almost head to London for a surprise evening out — starting with a drinks event near Liverpool Street (free bar, Inches cider, gin and very welcome mini burgers), then dinner at the newly opened Jamie's Italian on Leicester Square. Fantastic service, stunning atmosphere, and hands down the best pizza either of them has ever eaten. Couch to 5K keeps pushing forward — new trainers are in, the gym has had a tidy up and the rowing machine has made an appearance. Tipple of the Week is Jack Daniel's Tennessee Apple with Pepsi Max. And Almost Edible finally delivered — a proper Sunday roast: slow cooker gammon, Jamie Oliver's famous smashed roasties, cauliflower cheese and all the trimmings. Oh, and they went to Hotel Chocolat. There may now be a one kilogram ostrich egg in the house.
